Product Description

316 stainless steel strip is a high-performance austenitic stainless steel alloy containing 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum. The addition of molybdenum gives 316 excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and general corrosion—particularly in saltwater and acidic environments.

This alloy is typically cold rolled to tight thickness tolerances and supplied in coil or slit strip form with finishes such as 2B, BA, No.4, or Mirror (8K). Available in various tempers, it’s commonly used in precision stamping, deep drawing, and high-demand environments.
