What is the Q345 Galvanized Steel Pipes?

Q345 Galvanized Pipe is a type of steel pipe that combines the high – strength properties of Q345 steel with the corrosion – resistant benefits of galvanization. Q345 steel, also known as low – alloy high – strength structural steel, has a yield strength of no less than 345MPa. This steel grade contains alloying elements such as manganese, silicon, and vanadium, which endow it with excellent mechanical properties, including high tensile strength, good plasticity, and impact resistance.
The galvanization process involves coating the surface of the Q345 steel pipe with a layer of zinc, usually through hot – dip galvanizing pipe or electro – galvanizing. Hot – dip galvanizing is the more common method, where the steel pipe is immersed in a molten zinc bath. This results in a relatively thick and durable zinc coating that adheres well to the steel surface, providing long – term protection against corrosion. The zinc coating not only acts as a physical barrier between the steel and the external environment but also provides sacrificial protection.
