Product Introduction

GengFei is a China-based manufacturer and supplier of Aluminium Checker Plate (also called tread plate, diamond plate, chequer/chequered plate). We stock and custom-produce 1-bar/propeller, 2-bar, 3-bar, 5-bar and diamond patterns in 1xxx/3xxx/5xxx/6xxx series with mill finish, bright (polished), and anodized surfaces. Typical uses include anti-slip floors, walkways, stairs, vehicle decks, toolboxes, cladding, marine, cold rooms and architectural panels.

We offer fast quoting, cut-to-size services, global shipping and provide mill test certificates on request.

Why Choose Aluminum Checker Plate?

1) Slip-resistant & Safe

Raised lugs add traction in wet/oily/icy conditions—ideal for industrial and transport flooring.

2) Strong yet Lightweight

About one-third the weight of steel at comparable stiffness; easier handling & lower freight.

3) Corrosion-resistant & Cleanable

5xxx/6xxx grades perform outdoors and in marine service; smooth surfaces wipe down easily.

Applications

• Industrial flooring & platforms: factories, catwalks, access ramps, mezzanines
• Transport: truck beds, trailer decks, toolboxes, firetruck steps, ambulance interiors

• Marine: gangways, engine rooms, hatch covers (5754/5083/5086)
• Architecture & interior: wall cladding, kick plates, counters, retail fixtures

• Cold rooms & food: hygienic, easy-clean panels and thresholds
• Stairs & walkways: public buildings, stadiums, stations
• Protection: door/wall guards, equipment covers, loading bay edges

Alloy Selection Guide (Quick Comparison)

• 1050 / 1060 / 1100 (Commercially Pure) — Best formability, good conductivity; light duty, décor, cladding; indoor/general use.
• 3003 / 3105 (Al-Mn) — Workhorse tread; good corrosion resistance & workability; vehicles, building floors, general industrial.
• 5052 / 5754 / 5083 / 5086 (Al-Mg) — Marine-grade corrosion resistance with higher strength; docks, trailers, outdoor & coastal.
• 6061 / 6082 (Al-Mg-Si) — High strength & weldable; industrial floors, ramps; limited tight-radius forming vs 3xxx/5xxx.

Tempers: H114 (tread), H22/H24 (work-hardened), H32/H34, T6 (solution-treated & aged for 6xxx).
Select alloy/temper based on load, span, environment, and fabrication (bending, welding, finishing).

FAQs

Q1: 5-bar vs diamond—how to choose?

5-bar offers excellent multi-directional grip for floors and ramps; diamond (propeller/1-bar) is popular for decorative panels, toolboxes, and where a bold look is desired.

Q2: What thickness should I use for floors?

Light traffic walkways: 2.0–2.5 mm; forklifts/vehicular: 3.0–6.0 mm depending on support spacing. Tell us your span & load—we’ll size it.

Q3: Which grade for marine or outdoor use?

5754/5083/5086 are typical for marine/corrosive environments. For general trucks & buildings, 3003/5052 work well.

Q4: Can you supply bright/mirror tread plate?

Yes—Tread Bright (3003 H22) and polished finishes are available; we can also anodize (clear/colored) for harder, decorative surfaces.

Q5: Are the listed sizes the only ones?

No—cut-to-size and non-standard lengths/widths are available. We also supply coil for continuous applications.

Q6: How do you pack for export?

Moisture-barrier paper + PE film (on request) + corner protectors + fumigated wooden pallets/crates, steel strapping, fork-friendly.

Q7: Do you provide MTC and compliance docs?

Mill Test Certificates and compliance statements (e.g., RoHS/REACH) are available per order.

Q8: What’s the difference between “on the plain” thickness and overall?

“On the plain” excludes lug height. Overall measured thickness at the lug is higher than the plain base sheet.
