What is the 2205 Duplex Stainless Steel Pipe/Tube?
2205 duplex stainless steel pipe is a nitrogen-enhanced duplex alloy composed of approximately 22% chromium, 5% nickel, and 3% molybdenum. It combines the strength of ferritic grades with the corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steel, offering excellent performance in aggressive environments.
2205 stainless steel pipe is widely used in chemical processing, oil and gas, marine, desalination, and heat exchangers where pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking resistance are critical.
